About Timberlane Arts & Dance Academy

We've loved every minute of our journey.

An Idea is Born

Timberlane Arts & Dance Academy, better known as "TADA" was started by Sarah Brown in the summer of 2013 with just 15 students and one teacher. Over the past three years, we have grown to over 500 students with three teachers, two assistant teachers and a loving dance community. We are so thankful for our TADA families!

TADA offers a full array of dance classes for any age. Our Princess Pre-Ballet classes begin at age 2 and we offer lessons all the way up through adult at the beginner, intermediate and advanced level. We offer lessons in: Pre-ballet, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Irish, Hip Hop, Acro, Poms and Yoga.

About Our Program

Our dance program runs on an annual schedule. Classes begin the first week of school in August, and conclude in December before the winter holidays. Spring begins in January after the holidays and runs through May concluding with our annual recital. Our summer semester begins in June and runs 9 weeks, ending in August.

We focus on creating a warm and non-competitive dance environment for your child. We want to foster a love of dance in all of our students. You will soon find that our dancers are a family and you will fit right in with our community. Our teachers love coming to dance class and will be sure that your child loves coming to dance, too! Our teachers practice patience with all of our students - we do not want anyone to feel intimidated or uncomfortable in our studios.

Princess Pre-Ballet

Our Princess Pre-Ballet class is very popular! Instructors focus on basic technique and terms while making dance FUN! We use ribbons, hoops, scarves and lots of other fun things while listening to songs your little one is sure to love. Basic tumbling and time at the ballet barre is also part of this class. Dance is a new experience just like preschool, and some little ones may be apprehensive at first. If your little dancer needs you in the dance studio that's fine, but as soon as she is okay we ask that you wait in the lobby. Part of being in dance class is gaining independence and you will be amazed at how quickly your ballerina will feel comfortable with her new friends.

Performance Teams

We also offer several opportunities for your child to participate in community performances! Performance Teams are offered during the week for ages 6+... No Saturday rehearsals or fundraising!!!  Wee Irish Performance Company, Irish Kids Intermediate and Irish Kids Advanced Companies are also available to our students. Ask your dance teacher how you can become a member!

TADA is also home to the Capital Celtic Dancers, a traditional Irish dance performance group that may be booked - free of charge - to dance at your school or event. Please call the studio or Ms. Sarah for more details!
